Workshop: BIM* Design for Sustainable Building * Building Information Modeling

In collaboration with Autodesk the CESB10 conference partner, we are preparing a workshop about Building Information Modeling - BIM. Designing in BIM software from Autodesk allows you to follow needed parameters of project since a draft. You can control parameters which will in final set the quality of the building as insolation study, daylight study, energy analysis, consumption analysis. In the BIM project it is possible to guarantee a non-collision coordination of specialists. Using additional Autodesk software you can even coordinate on-site realization and therefore reduce a construction and operating costs.
Workshop will take place on Thursday 1st July 16:00 in Hall E. Presentation will be lead by international specialist on BIM systems Bjørn Wittenberg. Length will be about 40 minutes.

Exhibition Sustainable Building in the Czech Republic

In the framework of satellite events there will be shown an exhibition Sustainable Building in the Czech Republic presenting new and existing building.

Exhibition and video show: The Sun School for Kargyak

The CESB10 conference will host an exhibition and video show from the construction of unique project The Sun School for Kargyak.
Kargyak is an isolated village situated in the Indian Himalayas in the altitude of 4200 m above sea level and it is one of the last places where the original Tibetan culture still survives. Until recently, there was no school in the village and the children had no other chance but either to leave for distant boarding schools or never to learn to read and write.
In September 2009 the Surya Civic Association finished construction of the specially designed “passive” school-building which is heated by sun, works fully ecologically and it’s appearance is also in accordance with local structures.

Satellite technical meetings and workshops

The organizers offer rooms and technical equipment for any meetings, workshops or other events related to the sustainable building. Conference secretariat provides detail information.
