Prague

Prague, a city with over a thousand-year history, was established and developed at the intersection of strategic routes connecting key centres on the European continent. Its leading position and favourable climate led to successful development of trade, arts and crafts, scientific research and knowledge.
The past centuries have left their mark primarily in art and architecture. Through the course of time, Prague has gained a reputation as a major European centre of culture, education and humanism. In recent years, Prague has become a top tourist destination and has been recognised by UNESCO as a gem of the world’s cultural heritage. The unique magic of the city is down to the outstanding quality of its architectural sights and to a harmonious relationship between the various historical styles. It is this harmony that helps to create an environment of mutual understanding, tolerance, respect and partnership.
